New domain name!

So, this will be a short announcement, I have successfully migrated this website to skky.co.uk. All the latest stuff will be available there. However, I will keep this site as a back up in case of anything that causes setbacks. Also, this is my first website and I quite like the look of it compared to the new one, so it would be nice to keep it and maybe look back to it and see the progress I make. The previous posts have also been migrated so you new-comers won’t miss out on the first posts of the site. This post, however, is tailored to this older site. The newer one will be different.

I’ll talk more on the new website post page.

The last post aged well…

So, seems that I didn’t tend to this site much after that post. oof. But, hey, I’m trying my best considering the fact that I’m in full time education. One more thing on the side note, my school is doing an enrichment program to help prepare for adulthood. One of the elements involved is maintaining an effective online presence. Should I slap this website to get it done with or should I keep it a secret? What am I saying? Of course, I’m going to throw this in! Well, I hope they enjoy the site. However, this site is more of a “project database” rather that a blog post site, per say.

So, I’ll update the situation about my projects. The Hybrid Booster page is up for reads and will hopefully give a base idea on what it’s about. However, I’m still getting around the Mathematics of this. So far, I’ve brushed up on the F=ma equation. Let me tell you something. F=ma only when there is no fuel use. Otherwise, it’s F= (d(m)/d(t))*v + m*(d(v)/d(t)). So, what school has taught me about physics is actually partially incorrect but acceptable in certain situations, however incomplete and inaccurate at times.

I’ll explain. The latter term is the same as (ma). You see, d means the magnitude of change. So, d(v) means change of velocity and d(t) means change of time. You can simplify that as “rate of change of velocity” which correlates to acceleration. This is because, in the equation, you are putting the change of velocity over time i.e. change of velocity divided by time. Ta da! You get m*a.

But if there is a vehicle with any kind of combustion engine or ion engine, fuel will be ejected out. This will change the mass of the vehicle. This is where the former term comes into play: (d(m)/d(t))*v. Once again, d means the change of magnitude. So d(m) is the change in mass and d(t) is the change in time. So, d(m)/d(t) is the rate of change of mass i.e. how much mass is ejected out of the vehicle per unit of time. Then you multiply that by the velocity of the mass being ejected (assuming that the change of mass is positive when the total mass is decreasing). Notice that if you try to find the base units of this term, you end up with kg*m*s^-2, the same base units as force. We can then conclude that this term represents the force produced from the ejecting of mass. This works alongside Newton’s third law (push something, it will push back with equal force).

In school, when we work with falling or rolling weights, there is no change in mass, so the term automatically equals zero and is ignored. In surface vehicles with piston engines such as cars, the mass being ejected out the exhaust pipes is so small, the product of the term is a very small number, and so is neglected for simplicity, however inaccurate. However, rocket engines are HUNGRY for fuel so the product of the first term will be significant.

Sorry, I nerded out for a bit so don’t mind me. But if you found it interesting, then look out for any other random time I start rambling about physics or anything for the matter.

Anyway, so that page is up. The Laws of Attraction light novel has reached a bit of a hold since school has started again after the global pandemic. So far, I’ve got 124 pages. That’s 28,334 words. It’s hard to get my thoughts straight after I hit that point where I go, “Now what?” So, It’ll take a bit of time to really see what my characters want to do for that day, what they want to avoid, what they find interesting enough to stop and think, creating a new situation to allow for character dynamics as well as opportunities to see what the characters are like. Basically, I’m treating these characters like real people. You can think of my writing brain like a computer. I allocate a certain space of RAM to create objects who are my characters. I use a constructor of a normal human being and give them parameters that make each one unique, certain parameters unlocking methods or “behaviors” that make them act in a way that makes sense to them. It’s seems overwhelming but somehow, it’s as if I can “feel” exactly what certain characters feel. Or, maybe, it’s what I would feel if I were in their place. I try to mix what I think they feel and their logic together to try and bring the most accurate representation of that person.

Dammit, I got carried away again. So, yeah, that’s something. One more thing, actually. I made a YouTube channel called SKKY S but I got locked out because of credential issues. I can’t even recover it. It already has one episode of a new series I wanted to start called Coffee and Chess with SKKY. Basically, I talk to the audience (if there is any) about how things are going with a hot mug of coffee, of course, while playing chess. That happened. I might have to make a replacement account for it.

I’ll see if I can do anything about it but bye for now! Hopefully, you will enjoy more content being put up on pages and a small insight of my life through these posts, whatever they may be. See ya!

I’m back

Hey, guys. Sorry, I have been away for quite a while and haven’t worked on this website. Sort of busy with other stuff. But from now and 15th of August, I will try to update every day and complete the building of this website. But now, let’s see what we have.

I have just put up the first page of the Shuttle Project, it is now 1210 hours GMT at the time of this blogpost. My main focus will be there for now. You can expect more coming soon, daily if I can keep it up.

The progress on my Laws of Attraction light novel has reached 25,000 words, a big up from my last writer’s block. That’s 105 pages in perspective. Also, I started work on something unexpected. An upgrade of the human heart. Yep, sounds far fetched but it can just about be possible. It uses electromagnets to pull the walls of the heart together and assist with the pumping of blood. Hopefully, I can make it controllable by the brain itself. However, I definitely do not have the resources nor the experience to actually make prototypes. The same goes for all my other projects (except, of course, the writing pieces). But the theory is fascinating. I will try to get a project page up for that as well.

The podcast I have mentioned a while back, it’s finally up. Not one episode, not two, not even three. Four. Three episodes are up and the fourth ready for upload this Sunday 9th of August. The channel has been renamed to The Not Boring Podcast. I apologise for my microphone audio but I have fixed it for the fourth episode.

Last of all, I will move this website over to skky.co.uk soon, so be ready for that.

See you tomorrow!

Apologies!

The podcast that was supposed to go up yesterday got delayed as we had technical issues with the audio gathering as we recorded our own separate audios. I need to edit all that together and will take a bit of time. You can expect it to be online tomorrow. Thanks!

Podcasts!

Finally, some good content

(Actually, ANY content)

My friends and I are going to do some podcasts for you to listen to. We got specialists of all types including programming, sports, medicine and engineering (me). Some of us have interesting hobbies that may come in handy such as gaming, playing instruments and digital media works. The podcast shall be on YouTube and the channel name is Not Boring (very creative, eh?).

We will upload hopefully once a week with new content and topics. Go ahead to subscribe to add our podcasts to your YouTube feed. And of course, to spice things up, go ahead and give us a few requests and by going to our Instagram account (accessible on our YouTube channel) and commenting on our announcement post. The requests can be to ask us for opinions of topics or statements, questions about us (not too personal please) and questions related to our specialisations. Hopefully, we can deliver your requests.

Enjoy!
